Thanks, that was a great intro to start with list. I have a Drupal background and now I see them as views, a bit more powerful I'd say.

Now I just need to have the first list appearing as a dropdown list (eg a select tag), rather than a list of links.

Any idea?

Good tutorial but you left out an important configuration that is required to make this work.
In the view options under the general tab you need to select "Include Utilities Javascript" in order for lxFetch to correctly resolve. Also it's helpful to check the debug options to display errors until you get it working so that you can see what goes wrong if it doesn't work.

That REALLY helped me get started - thanks!... Just one thing to add, if the key being passing to the detail panel is a string (varchar) and not numeric like yours, then the developer will need to add single quotes in the before target and after target textboxes. Took me a couple hours to figure that out :)
